Poetry at Rudyard Kipling’s house/ Sir J J Institute of Applied Art

In the leafy alcove of the courtyard of Rudyard Kipling’s house (Dean’s Bungalow) we immersed into reading, listening and viewing of strong and tender poems by Ulrike Almut Sandig in German, then its Hindi, Marathi and English translations, with poetry films interspersing.

Thanks to Jayashree Hari Joshi, Ila Joshi, Santosh Kshirsagar and Sanket Mhatre – dynamic curator this evening was a series of delight from the place, its environs, poems & their placement and the audience & students of the Sir J J Institute of Applied Art. Thank you!

The spirit of literature is inclusiveness.
