The last month or maybe even before that or maybe even before that, have been spent in a tizzy. I feel like clothes in a washing machine on a never-ending tumble wash!
Project managing The Arcs-of-a-Circle Artists’ Residency Mumbai has taught me so much. But it’s sisyphean. It still feels too little, no matter how much is done. Writing is easy – you can cover vast ground on a canvas in the matter of a few pages.
But I have enjoyed seeing my new avtaar as a Project Manager — bringing to life something that I had conceptualized on paper (proposal), something that got approved, funded, and is actually going to take off! (Really! Blink or am I dreaming?) But the participants have been selected. The program is kicking off 6th December night, to last for 10 days.
I will update you more over the project, but in the next post. This one is for the beautiful events that went by driving me into a further tizzy.

Lucknow:
Met with Jayanta Mahapatra for the first time at the Lucknow Literature Festival. And when he says he likes my work, I am done for!
So privileged to read at the Lucknow Literature Festival in such marvelous and gorgeous company. The warmth. The love. The lineup. The conversations (with landmines). The audience. The organizers. The city! — with Surabhi Modi, Amrita Adnani Gurnanee, Siddharth Warrier, Kanak Rekha Chauhan, Vinita Agrawal and Amit Dahiyabadshah.
Also, spent a very enjoyable, cathartic, warm and mirthful evening with friends Smeetha B. and Jessica F. after reading for The Mira Project.
So blown away with Scherezade Siobhan’s fascinating curation of voices heavy and hoarse with pain, but light in lilt from across the globe. Her poetry is even more breathtaking.
I am so glad for this evening!
